CHINESE NEW YEAR 2005
Dixon Street, Chinatown. Sydney, AUSTRALIA

Chinese New Year has always been a popular celebration to many families. In particular many come to Chinatown to experience the Chinese culture and celebrate by watching the Lion Dance and eating the various foods sold such as various candies and desserts and many other asian delicacies. What is so enjoyable at this time of year is that it provides an opportunity to not only spend time with family and friends but also to divulge in the many exciting events available in the Chinatown market stalls.

Hong Australia once again participated in the Chinese New Year Stalls in Dixon St, Chinatown, to promote increasingly well-knownproducts in the market after the sucess of 2004 promotions. These products included Drinho, Kamfen and SPAM. The stalls were once again run over three days. People were allowed to sample various drinks and foods from the stall including popular drinks such as Chrysanthemum and Green tea. This year, people came to celebrate the year of the ROOSTER with events including authentic chinese traditions such as people giving out lucky red pockets ("li-shi").

Happy Chinese New Year 2005 to you and your family!
